Wedding Ceremony
The Visitor Centre’s 15th Century function room is full of medieval charm and is a wonderfully romantic location in which to hold your wedding ceremony.
The delightful room features a host of exposed beams, an original octagonal crown post and a magnificent beer bottle chandelier and can accommodate 85 guests in comfort.
If you are looking for something less formal and truly unique, then the Brewhouse is for you. Set at the heart of this working brewery, it has been used by generations of brewers to handcraft Shepherd Neame’s range of award-winning ales and speciality lagers. It is still in use today and is also licensed for civil marriage ceremonies for up to 50 guests. The fascinating mix of historic and modern equipment gives the area an industrial yet homely feel and an ambience all of its own.
The Old Brewery Store offers you the chance to invite a larger number of guests to attend your ceremony. The venue, originally the brewery’s wines and spirits store is now home a collection of vintage delivery vehicles and historic pub signs. Whichever room you select, we will book the ceremony on your behalf and advise the KCC Licensing Team of your chosen date and time – ceremonies can take place in the Visitor Centre function room or The Old Brewery Store on any day of the week between 9.00am and 5.00pm and in the Brewhouse and on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays – between 9.00am and 5.00pm. Please note there will be a charge made by the Registry Office to perform the ceremony.
