Hop Festival Fundraiser

20 February 2016 Entry £10.00 Doors 7:00pm

Shepherd Neame is the proud sponsor of the annual celebration of Faversham’s Hop Heritage and to help the Hop Festival organisers raise more funds to stage the 2016 Hop Festival,  we're providing the venue for the Hop Festival Fundraiser! So come along and relive some of the sounds from Hop Festival 2015.

Narn

Hailed as our answer to Taylor Swift, multi-instrumentalist and award winning Narn is a British country singer/songwriter from Staffordshire.

With her new EP Nashville Story hitting number 5 in the iTunes country albums chart in its first week of release, this amazingly talented young lady is set for a long and glittering career. At just 18 the world lies before her door, so make sure you catch her performance.

She blew us away on the Spitfire Market Place stage at Hop Festival this year, and if you missed it then you really missed something special. Recognising the community spirit of our event, this generous young woman has agreed to come down and help us make sure the 2016 festival is bigger and better than ever, so grab your ticket before they're all gone and be a part of something historic.

Green Diesel

"Folk rock with a blast of creativity and originality" said Folkwords, but there is no way to say all that needs to be said about these guys in just one sentence or even a couple of paragraphs. An institution in Faversham, born from the Hop Festival (and prepared to put something back) this fantastically entertaining band has helped put our town on the map.

From film soundtracks to appearances at major festivals throughout the country (including a mad week at Edinburgh Fringe for a second year running), they've come a long way from that first performance on the Albion Stage at Hop Festival 5 years (or more) ago. They've never forgotten where it all started, even writing us a song which they've let us use on our promotional videos.

As well as old favourites like Jungle Book and The Hop Festival song expect to hear tracks from their new album Wayfarers All, and maybe a sneak preview of some tracks from their next expected in 2016. Yet another reason you cannot afford to miss this gig, so buy now.

Creek

With a great set of favourites we can all sing along with, you're also sure to hear tracks from their debut album Burn In Flames (find it on iTunes). The end to our fund raising party is guaranteed to shred whatever's left of your voice as we join in with favourites from another Faversham born band.

Only slightly younger than Green Diesel, Creek "busted down the doors of rock" in 2013 and won Herne Bay's Battle of the Bands competition in 2014 - the same year they first graced our Preston Street stage.

Forget Britains got Talent, this is another reason to shout Favershams got Talent and with the soaring vocals of Jess backed by driving rhythm from Mark and George, topped with a healthy layer of fretwork from Paul, you're guaranteed a night to remember from the 3rd of our talented line-up. All donating their time for free, they're helping us make Hop Festival 2016 on the 3rd and 4th September another roaring success.

So, what are you waiting for ? Be part of making it all happen and join us here in this great venue - see you on the 20th February 2016 ...

Tickets are available in person at the Brewery Shop (Court Street, Faversham) until 4.30pm on Saturday!
