Hop Festival Fundraiser 2017
4 March 2017 Entry £12.50 Early bird £10.00 Doors 7:00pm
We've given Faversham Hop Festival Ltd (the not-for-profit organisation that stages Faversham Hop Festival) The Old Brewery Store for a fantastic evening on 4th March to raise funds for this year's Hop Festival, an annual community event.
Three great bands are set to provide a taste of what's to come at the festival itself which takes place over the first weekend of September.
Blighty (Oasis Tribute Band)
Best of British Blighty kick-start our 2017 hop festival season with a no-nonsense set of classic Brit pop. Their first official outing of Oasis classics is guaranteed to please, delivered with the attention to detail and blistering performance they’ve taught us to expect.
Festival newcomers in 2016, The Unknown gave as good as they promised – top quality song writing threads through catchy, addictive riffs to give music you remember and choons you’ll be singing for years to come, served up by four of the nicest, most talented guys in the business (and they donated a song to our Sounds of The Hop Festival CD so we love ‘em – thanks boys). We’re also promised a sneak peek at their second album planned for release later in the year – you heard it here first!
Covers of favourites we can all sing along with, stand side by side next to tracks from their debut album Devil in Disguise and last year’s EP Burn In Flames. The end to our fund raising party is guaranteed to shred whatever's left of your voice as we join this highly entertaining band, born in Faversham, in celebrating the hop festival’s 27th year. Creek "busted down the doors of rock" in 2013 winning Herne Bay's Battle of the Bands the year after. They’ve been festival favourites ever since …
